Spinal cord injuries depend heavily on where the damage sits. Nerves in the upper spine help control breathing. An injury between C1 and C4 can stop breathing, according to NINDS spinal cord injury information<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The label matters because the long-term picture counts. A patient may look stable in the first days. Months of rehabilitation, medical visits and lost work may still lie ahead.<\/p>\n\n

Why Catastrophic Injuries Happen in Las Cruces<\/h2>\n

Under 49 CFR \u00a7 382.303<\/a>, the employer must test a surviving driver as soon as practicable in listed situations. If a controlled substances test is not given within 32 hours, the employer must stop trying and keep a record of why.<\/p>\n
